The Inmates are doing such a great job taking care and training the Dogs.
I have met the nicest Dogs that I can't believe were seconds away from death.
They now have an agility course for the Dogs and it's great exercise for the Dogs and the inmates. It's so nice catching up with the Dogs and meeting the new Dogs.
Wish i could take them all home with me or at least find them safe and loving forever homes. Sure do love our 6 lil furry friends! Become a fan of the "Jail Dogs In 1C'" @ the facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Jail-Dogs-In-1C/139342539431656?v=wa...

  • This is truly wonderful.

  • Fabulous program! I'm proud to see this is happening in my state. I hope to see more jails creating programs like this for the benefit of the inmates & the dogs.

  • @danalynn64 I hope your son is doing well...I had tears of REAL joy when I found out about this program...can't be anything but good...

  • when seeing how much ugly there is in the world, it is very reassuring to see this video and that we're not totally self-destructive - there is hope!

  • The world is really changing...Makes the heart feel sooo good!

  • I have to admit that when I first heard about this program I was very skeptical and worried about inmates taking their frustrations out on the dogs BUT after seeing these webisodes I think this is a fantastic program and would even trust these men with my dogs.

  • What a fantastic program. I am so glad to see Gwinnett Co. doing this. A wonderful opportunity for these inmates and for the dogs. I truly believe that these dogs will have a lasting influence in the lives of the inmates and where they choose to go from here. Awesome!!!

  • My son is in there right now, an inmate for almost 6 months. He is a secondary trainer in this program, and I am so proud of him! What it's done for his self esteem, and what a great opportunity for the inmates to help these dogs is such a gift!
