'damping' is what the shock does. "Dampening' is what a baby does to a diaper.

the DNM shocks have adjustable pre-load on the spring. you can chose whether you want a hard or soft ride. you can also adjust the compression and rebound dampening for off-road, and mini-supermoto! (my personal fave) where you from daby?

do you turn the screw on top of the shocks witch is to make is soft
dabysproductions 2 years ago
the screw on the top of the forks is for "rebound dampening" - there are also an adjustable screw on the bottom of the shocks which is for "compression dampening" - to make your suspension softer - you will want to turn the screw on the bottom of the forks, counter clockwise -

so what does rebound dampening do
dabysproductions 2 years ago
Dampening reduces the speed at which the spring returns to its original position.
It essentially prevents your shocks from a being a "pogo stick"
