he's not wrong about longboarding becoming a trend though. my college is filled with longboarders. i don't mind at all if they're having fun but thats not the case. its the fact that they try so hard to look cool on them, especially jocks, girls, and straight tools. dude, this one guy would be near my dorm building and would try to handstand on his longboard whenever girls walk by-__-. don't get me wrong, long boarding looks fun, especially downhill, but they just ride it bc its a trend.

Everyone has their own style. Even One of the locals in the chilliwack video said "It's not all about who's better now. It's more about having fun than it ever was". Whats the point of being good if you're not having fun? you could be pulling 100 foot standies, tre-flip, or racing 80mph down like the steepest fucking hills in the world, but if you're not having as much fun as that kid cruising in his neighborhood, soaking up the feeling of the cracks under his feet, what's the point of skating?
