Police Search and Arrest

On August 23, 2006, around 3:00 PM (ending around 7:00 PM), I was informed there was a lot of Bellevue / King County police activity around Sammamish High School and the Crossroads area. I videotaped the police searching a house, questioning people, and eventually arresting someone (the arrest may be an unrelated incident). The person that was arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty by law.

This is an email I received from Public Information Officer Greg Grannis of the Bellevue Police Department concerning what happened: "The officers were looking for a runaway juvenile who was seen near the school. He ran and we tried to catch up to him. Because this person is a minor, I cannot be more specific. Suffice it to say we really didn't consider it much of a threat to the community."

PLEASE NOTE: There are better ways to learn about the police, than following them around with a camera - even though it can be interesting. Please visit your local city's webpage to learn about citizen academy classes and ways to volunteer. It's lots of fun!
