  • No it's not. Eduard Lalo, Emmanuel Chabrier, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel all wrote authentic-sounding Spanish music. The Spanish composer Manuel DeFalla said that Debussy's Iberia first revealed the true essence of Spanish music to his own people (paraphrasing).
