For "civilians", the interior looked pretty plain, as you can see. During its production, Fairmont would also be used as law enforcement and taxi fleets.
Nice looking cars. The only thing I've never liked is that the instrument panel has such limited gauges, using only proper gas gauge and idiot lights.
I owned an 1982 2-Door Fairmont sedan that was silver with red interior.. I love how they used the term "Luxury Vinyl Door Trim".
Of course they show cased a bland brown colored 4 door model with brown interior. It's still a boxy economy car, but the 2 door version with contrasting paint/interior colors look better.
@pdennis93 I have to wonder about GM's approach of making sedans around that time with fixed rear door windows... I recall they even did a prototype sedan in the 1970s which came with a letterbox style window opening on the drivers door only.

It's odd that the Fairmont/Futura/Zephyr always seemed to sag at the rear, even in this manufacturer's video.

@patsaxon I'm surprised that by 1982 they didn't offer something like this with an AM/FM Cassette deck...

@GoMetricToday I think that's a bird on the golf course, look to your left and you'll see another one, although it does look like a spider.

@pdennis93 Yup, and the '81 Chrysler K-Cars, although they'd get roll-down rear windows for '82.
