I saw it happen once at Tempe station as some old lady had the door closed on her and she (I dunno why) was asking the driver (with his window open) to open the doors but the driver ignored then blasted the horn scaring the shit out of her!!!

Actually, they have to due to OSP.
Whenever a train moves from a stationary position, it has to sound its horn.
Sorry to be all nerdy, but just so you know :P
