Wow thats fucked up. If the owner of the house wasnt a cop i guarantee he wouldnt dare pull his gun out on someone trying to get their cat back.

If the owner of the cat kept the cat inside like he says it is then it wouldnt be up a tree chasing birds. Answer; get cop neibour to shoot owner and cat.

There's no way that the cop flashing a gun is going to shoot anyone. He's stupid, but he's not that stupid. If he's concerned about someone falling on his property, then he can help rescue the cat himself. I saw get someone to climb the tree (I'd do it, if I were there) and screw that cop.
And yes, until I sold my house I was a homeowner and a landlord.

I side with the owner of the tree. If anyone gets hurt while trying to get the cat, the owner of the land could be held liable. It's just a cat, people! There are plenty of them around. The cat is there because he wants to be there. He could get down anytime he wants. I once saw a cat get frightened and jump from a 3rd storied window onto concrete sidewalk. He lived for about 2 weeks after that. Cause of death unknown.
