I am black.. I am here to let EVERYONE know.. Black people ALREADY receive Reparations.. Its called FREE education K-12.. Free housing (a.k.a Projects) and free medical care for children. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE THINGS until your 18th birthday.. and MOVE ON!!! take personal responsibility

If I sound like I'm only taking into account the male slaves, I apologise. I know full well that there were significant numbers of female slaves, though I'm not certain of the exact proportions.

To all the morons. Very few people owned slaves. Only the rich owned slaves. My family never owned slaves. The black people who were decendants of slaves in America should seek reparations from the black Africans who sold them to the wealthy plantation owners. Yes, blacks sold blacks then and slavery is alive and well in Africa today.

Yeah, but what about the things that happened to black people during Jim Crow? Would you be opposed to me going after Virginia for compensation for essentially stealing land and confiscating wealth from my family? You don't get it... I am indifferent from this reparations story, but since the government allowed slavery ... and benefited from it... The government would need to ameliorate the problem that it caused.
