At 1:20 pm on Sunday, August 17, 2008 - these two women and their accomplice stole a glass hermit crab and a large black and teal glass conch shell both hand crafted by Sumo Glass from The Stepping Stone in Lewes, Delaware. We need your help to locate these three women. Someone in the Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland area knows who they are and rest assured this is not the first time they have stolen from a small merchant. Anyone with information as to their identity should contact Detective John Miller at the Lewes Police Department 302-645-6264. Thank you!

  • They needed to save money for food obviously. I'm assuming they were caught?

  • Sadly, to my knowledge they have not been caught. I don't think much attention was brought to this event ... which is unfortunate, but we are all aiming to capture people of this nature and broadcast them as much as possible.

  • About 0:31 into the video, on the right-side of the screen, watch the lady in the light blue shirt with dark blue pants, with blonde hair and a big yellow bag. You can see her open her bag and then snatch an item off the shelf.

The other thief is a woman in a yellow shirt and plaid pants, with a similar large bag.

The woman in the plaid pants also straightens out the shelf so as to not be so obvious.

  • 100 bucs says they are from PA!! First 55mph side by side driving on Rt1 on their way down, then stealing from our locals.

  • I know you posted this a while ago, but I thought it was funny that it was obvious to you that they needed to save money for food. They don't look starving to me. They look quite well fed, actually. In my experience, many of the women that we catch shoplifting are middle class. They need to get caught and get help or get off the streets. These particular women, I believe steal from hardworking people, so they can have it easy. Its simple greed and selfishness. People who NEED food, steal food.

  • The bigger lady I described is the one in yellow, in this video. She actually inquired about ordering something and gave her real #. It was a 215 area code. I remember that because I called after we realized that they had stolen and made note of it. I called and she actually gave me a real #. It was her on the phone. I really wish I had seen this video earlier. It was 2008 that they stole from us. I don't have that # now, but that and the fact they came back shows they're stupid enough to slip.

  • They stole from the store I work at a couple years back. Stopped in again the next year and I was aware. I think they sensed it and left. I walked out after them. They were with a group of a few other people. They might create distractions in the stores, distract in a situation where one of them is caught, not sure. One is a giant for a woman, Maybe 6'5'' 300+ lbs. I could take her, but it might not be easy. She's mean and looks it too, a pug face. Also with an middle aged gay guy both times.
