The best version of this song is the acoustic version by the writer - Mark Seymor.
The best Pearl Jam song in my opinion is Last Kiss - Eddie Vedder nailed that one.

Covering an iconic classic always boils emotions. Performed well (though way to fast ) but lyrically raped. What was originally a passionate other person centred song became a brag for a good root on a one night stand. The original words "you will make me call your name" becomes I will make you call my name. Typical change from an egocentric rock star. Mark Seymour live brings this song alive like this version could never aspire to. Probably because he respects the girl he wrote this for.
