  • Why is this one 52 mins long and the other is 58?

  • The 58 minute one contains a few more seconds of the end of Chomsky's speech before beginning the Q and A. But mainly it was an accident, with the extra 6 minutes originally there to fill out the 58 minute requirement for cableTV public access broadcast and include the remarks of one of Chomsky's questioners, Nelly Bailey, speaking a day earlier at a Times Square demo against Obama's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, followed by recently imprisoned Lynne Stewart's husband Ralph..

  • I think the better question is why didn't everyone have the courtesy to turn off their cell phones? It sounds as if the call was answered too.
