Mammy's the real star in the show. Eventhough she's a servant, she treats the white folks as equals.

@lLostTheGame: I know, right! "Who dat!" HA! She's so awesome!

"I ain' never seed hair that color in my life. You know a dyed-haired woman?.." LOL

Scarlett is destitute: wearing a dress cut from her mother's velvet curtains so Rhett will not guess how hard up she is. When he refuses to lend her $300 to pay the taxes on Tara, she leaves him in a fit. When she runs into Frank Kennedy, running a general store in town, she makes a play for him by telling him a lie about her sister.

You're so right. That was really good acting on Leigh's part. And the knowing smile Belle gives her (you can't see it here with the quality) is sublte on her part too!

i don't think she was completely lying...she believed belle could get the money for her if they actually were friends in a different world, oh and she knew she was the same as her

I like Scarlett, she's got a sharp wit about her and she does have a point, though rionically Belle Watling is kinder to Rhett than Scarlett ever was.
Mammy ... "Who dat?" LOL!!! She's the best <3

Look at the "cold shoulder" Scarlett gives Belle at 0:15, as if she's saying "don't even *think* of speaking to me!" Great subtle acting from Leigh.
