Ok. In the picture there are 4 Cog tag's that i see. Now, i think there is a cog tag for
1. A. Carmine
2. B. Carmine
3. Ty
4. Kim
Now, in gears 3 i think you are going to be with Clay Carmine, and maybe D. Carmine. Maybe the last 2 carmines will be made in one game. Who knows....
Now in gears 3 you will be with Marcus, Baird, Dom, Cole, and Clay. I think the queen will die, and you will fininsh off the locust horde, and the humans get their life back.

TheFraser123 is right... the books are really good and it explains most of the story before Gears 1 and after Gears 2

theres no d carmine hes called madison and hes dead he died in he winter of sorrow
the winter of sorrow is where the locust took landown when you find the collectible near the start of the mission it will have a picture of a gear and under the picture is some writeing saying war hero mandison carmine :) well i think hes dead anyway >.>

i know for sure this is the end for marcus and delta as epic even said it but they are considering doing prequels like the pendulum wars with delta in but its dependant on the sales of gears 3 hope they do !!
