Dr. Feelgood - Milk and alcohol 1979

White boy in town
Big black, blue sound
Night club, I paid in
I got a stamp on my skin

Main attraction dead on his feet
Black man rhythm with a white boy beat
They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol

Stay put I wanna go
Hard work, bad show
More liquor, it dont help
Hes gonna die, it breaks my heart

I decided eventually
This aint doing a thing for me
They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol

(Instrumental)

They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol
They got him on milk and alcohol

Got up, I walked out
To the car, start it up
Feel bad, sad night
I never saw a red light

Sirens were a screamin all around
I pulled on over and I shut her down
A black cop gave me a shove with his gun
Said up against the wall and dont make a run
They got me on milk and alcohol
They got me on milk and alcohol
They got me on milk and alcohol
They got me on milk and alcohol

  • out of sync, FUCKING DO IT AGAIN

  • i just like it....

  • this dosen't look like 1979. if so they changed alot since 1975 on the old grey whistle test

  • TEACH THIS GUITARIST HOW TO ACT NORMAL ON A PLAYBACK !

  • no way.. i want those shades

  • Still a top Band even though Wilko isn't playing

  • try get this in the charts now! fuck modern music is shite i may be old but back in the day you had to sell 250,000 to get into the top 10 now its about 30.000.and no one say"good musics there if u look hard"i shouldn't have to,fuck we were spoiled in the 70s,the great music was everywhere, fuckin cowell and his shite

  • This band were amazing. I loved this song

  • Excellent performance.... Shame Lee wasn't looking his best at that stage.

And yes, you can't say Mayo was better or worse than Wilco... just different....

Mayo is more edgy and traditional rock and roll whereas I think Wilco was more unique and gave the original Feelgood's a different sound...

Overall, a great band in both incarnations and hugely influential on many bands including the Pistols! See Oil City Confidential for a great bio of the original band....
