Bradford Squared

A lone street sweeper inadvertently wakes the sleeping city, setting in motion a spectacular sequence of transformations.

The film was commissioned by Bradford Centre Regeneration to present the realisation of Will Alsop's 2003 Masterplan. All featured projects are either under construction or at the planning stage. The film was created to appeal to both the general public and to potential investors.

@Bignadim I used to work in bradford and always wondered what that was for. Seemd a bit weird that it was only there to serve the station when you could just walk down. Bradford like Barnsley where im from has lots of plans and pays a lot of regeneration directors lots of money, but nothing ever comes of them, and the directors and planners move onto the next town and the councils make excuses and hope we forget what they promised.

Back in 1989 I made an appointment to see redvelopemnent of Forster Square with its station and huge shopping mall well the the lift shaft was built for two lift cars and lift shaft had potential for variouse mall levels, well what happened Nothing! ...lift is there on former School street viaduct but No shopping mall development.!!!

Westfield!!!!! they just knocked down a load of crap and will replace it with more concrete and glass crap where`s the yorkshire stone eh ? I really do feel sorry for Bradford and again save Odeon from that councillor who said it not as interesting as city hall and why shuld it be its 1930`s cinema he`s thinking of those shitty tin-can multiplexesand a cinema is needed in every major city
