Our Breastfeeding Journey

This is a mother and nursling's celebration of the joys of breastfeeding. I have been breastfeeding my daughter, Novalee for over 16 months now. We embarked on this beautiful journey with no idea how long we would continue to nurse and I had no idea how very precious our "milkies" time would become to the both of us. She is truly made of Mama's Milk!!

at what age did you introduce solids?

Thank you =) Well, I started cereal at about 9 months only once a day since she was never that interested in anything but me...but then on her first birthday, I took her to McDonald's and got her very first Happy Meal and she's been eating everything and anything ever since. lol She still nurses at least 3 times a day usually morning is her best feeding and right before bed then sporadically throughout the day.... thanks for watching!

We have just reached our 18 month breastfeeding milestone and in the first few days after she was born, I had no idea we would ever be able to make it this far. I still don't know where the time has gone! Babies are so much fun. =)

Congratulations, Mama! You have obviously provided more than enough to create such a happy, healthy (and beautiful!) baby girl- she is so very lucky to be loved and nurtured through the early years of her life in this way... and you're right- it does go by so quickly!
