Throughout Minnesota, fewer underrepresented students graduate from high school, attend college and earn a college degree as compared with their peers. The changing demographics of our communities and the disparities in the performance of students of color and other underrepresented students underscore the need for immediate action.
To address this need, Century College and Inver Hills Community College have created the Access and Opportunity Center of Excellence to generate academic success for underrepresented, middle, high school and college students.
PACE offers students the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school. Students take courses on Saturdays during the academic year and during the summer. Students earn up to 24 college credits over their junior and senior years, free of charge.
