@MrBrett162 lol mate. i was the same. i know reg gasnier was one of the abc commentators. cant remember who the main caller was but i remember him something along the lines of 'my word reg, look at broadhursts face' and gasnier replied 'hes been in the wars' i was 10 at the time. then when that shot of broadhurst walking up to get hes post brawl lecture, i turned to my dad and laughed and my father was disgusted and got up and poored himself a drink. classic stuff

@theivd bowden had been suspended for head butting in previous seasons. he was also involved in a state of origin punch up the same year as this where he apparently came out on top over maroons rod morris. ive only heard about this though, never seen it and im sure he didnt do the same demolition job as he did on al 2 black eyes here

@belindagavin Funny thing is I can't remember Bowden ever getting into another punch up (I was only 9 when this biffo went down so my memory might be off).
He just seemed to lose it all at once. I reckon Rex used to get a massive stiffy every time a fight went on. Which reminds me of his famous line "that is so unintentionally incredulous I can hardly believe it".
