I've put together a basic demo of what I consider a great option for linux desktop users that want a lean, fast, non-invasive GUI desktop environment. The configuration shown is not the same as the "default" one distributed with the fvwm software, and has many of my own choices in it. Be assured that fvwm is very flexible configuration-wise. I can share my configuration file or details from it with anyone that asks.

  • @meartur While I have no inclination to criticize Mac stuff (I've always appreciated the look-n-feel and general sensibility), I certainly do see alot of advantages to Linux. I absolutely love FreeBSD, too - but I end up using Linux most of the time because of certain practicalities. I am really into the tiling window manager "notion" - check out my video on that too :)

  • Nice. I was a huge fan of fvwm. Now I am using Mac, but I am really considering going back to Linux or FreeBSD with Fvwm2...
