Would you say then that the appeasement of aboriginal canadians with tax relief and extra social and economic benefits is a collectivist and pluralist ideal?
-
Leftism is very bizar, they want more collectivism while collectivism causes more seperation and discrimination and more problems. And also they claim to be progressive's while they aren't making progress at all and they have never achieved it. The only real progressive's seem to be individualist conservative's. Maybe the reason why leftists think total opposite is because they have maybe taken that book "1984" seriously or in other words "Orweillian style political correctness".

Affirmitive action is bad.
Nobody hires someone cause race, and when the one who hires is racist you force them to hire somone, and even racist have rights.
You should decide who you hire.
Just casue the racist are the scum of the society does not mean they can not hire who they want

This is dumb. All "sides" use policy power to enforce desired behavior and "redistribute" wealth. Individualists under this silly view are just as guilty of believing in a "master plan." Theirs is just some sort of imagined natural law instead of explicitly a human created system. Of course, economies are not ecologies...

this series does not deal with the legacy of discrimination. In the race of life, should each individual be treated as if he has no history? why should some start the race halfway round the track while others will forever be overlapped? why should some people be predestined to illiteracy? On the individualist basis that it's each man for himself? Sorry, but I believe society has a moral debt. The rich are rich thanks to individualist thought and thanks to the poor.

At 3.37 This video says, of disadvantaged people that " Their struggle has been against the racism and inequality that inhibits their opportunities. Both collectivists and individualists would agree that the rules of the game need to be changed, so that they can play with both hands untied" That is why I support the liberation of Palestinians.

@bxtrem please explain...how could one present the individualist vs. collectivist argument in a democratic or totalitarian way? i understand that it comes from an individualist bias, in that it is clearly arguing in favor of individualism.

@WhatsUpWithOurWorld i know obama will fail....from my perspective. it just depends on whose perspective you are looking from. (from the banking industry's perspective, obama already succeeded, and continues to create new successes...)

Fantastic!!!! Where can I buy these on DVD? Whoever created this deserves to be paid.

Great videos...They're presented in a way that should be understandable by anyone....at least by those willing to listen....

What has that have to do with what he has to say?
Are the words of a white man less important than others?
It doesn't matter if he is a serial killer, raper, communist, black, poor, royal or a priest...
The only thing that matters is that he can support his arguement.
Those who live with financial security are more likely to be libertarians, according to studies.
But that has nothing to do with whether libertarianism is bad or not.
