my opposite sex parents divorced when i was very young. my mother wasnt around after that. my father raised me on his own. i had no female rolemodel to look up to. now i am a mother. a fantastic mother if i do say so myself. having no mother present didnt affect my ability to mother a child. it goes the same for same sex families.
