I remember the radio station I was listening to playing this but Part II, I only heard it once. I did not know who did it and as I remember from now, I thought it may have been the Parliament. Typed "Strokin' 1976" and got all that I needed to know. Damn this is funky.

@YUNGSIRR1: The mid 70s was a great period to live through; a collision of styles, but it all worked. And lots of fun!

@YUNGSIRR1: I went to the Starwood frequently, mainly to see bands like Van Halen long before they released any records, but I was also into all the latest funk. When I heard that Leon was doing a gig there I just HAD to check him out. I had the Strokin' 45 rpm and was jonesing to hear it live. Leon's band was tight and baddass, and a big change from all the rock stuff that Starwood usually had. But it was still some wild shit...they started the show with a siren blasting !

Saw Leon and his boys bust this out.. at about twice the tempo at the infamous and long gone Starwood club in Hollywood. They rolled it, lit it, and totally SMOKED it!
