  • riiiigght. everything about punk rock used to be good. the music's no good anymore, the shows are no good anymore. but five years from now, the music and shows from 2009 will be "great", and everyone will be talking about how the new music sucks. five years ago, blink 182 and new found glory were getting more radio play than against me! and gaslight anthem - there's nothing wrong with punk right now.

punk music's great right now. always has been, always will be.

  • the old guard never loves the new kid......face to face are awesome but i remember when they were called "new punk" or "skater punk".....along with lagwagon and strung out...

  • @stoiccadaver cringed in the good way...like "what a badass music"

  • Whew, I hate punk. That was god awful.

  • Damn i feel bad for them. Warped tour sucks. Huge ignorant crowd, no one knows the words to a classic song. Why are you even there

  • @NuryDoe Then you don't like punk music at all or know what it is. Pick a different genre. Don't Turn Away is the most solid album i've ever heard

  • I was the only one who cringed listening to this, or you guys too?

  • It's sad how quiet the crowd was when he had them sing some of the lyrics.... everyone should know about Face to Face!

  • VEVO DOESN'T OWN PUNK ROCK - ONE THING THEY WILL NEVER OWN!

  • @dk352 My guess is that you are in your late teens or early 20's. Mark my words, your opinions on this and many things will change over time. You are fighting for the sake of fighting and my guess is that you weren't even alive when this all went down. I was there and fight it as you may...that does matter. I played CBGB's and met and played with people you are talking about and that does matter. I am not saying I'm right and you are wrong I'm saying my perspective is different.

  • @dk352 Johnny Rotten, for the record, didn't do drugs but the Ramones did. The Ramones appeared in movies and often capitalized on their art financially. Which was good because when Joey got cancer he had health insurance which he paid for with his earnings. Good music is good music and scenes bother me.
