@tecatoloko Based on what you say? This is an Egyptian variety and from what I've seen, Egyptian variety easily tops all others from Morocco to Iran and all in between.

I am sure this is Tanoura Dance from Egypt. A very beautiful dance that has its roots from spiritual and mystic sofism. Sofism a very peaceful branch of Islam with emphesis on the individual's relationship with the creator. The classic Sofi Dervish dance which you will find mostly in Turkey is much slower and less colorful than this Tanoura dance. This one in this videw is obviously very touristic and the music is very fast and colorful for that purpose.

This is so pleasing to the eye. He reminds me of the great atom of the universe endlessly creating new universe. He's a quasar, a nebula, galactic motion or galaxies colliding, a clusters of suns, the energetic, the enigmatic spinning entrance to a quantum universe! I liked it.
