they, in my experience from hundreds of solos are not good.
they dont hit enough and by the time they do diamonds would of hit more then that one big hit.
they also take up another spot in the inventory which could of been an extra restore or something.

I don't pick up drops other then arma stuff, check around 84 kc on the vid ;)
