The Sigma 10-20 is a great lens. I use mine often, and love the 10mm FOV - it's like 15mm on a full-frame camera. The D300 also allow me to shoot at higher ISOs so the fact of the Sigma being a "slow" lens does not stop me from raising the ISOs to 1600 or more...
