On April 24, 2010, Anders opens show at Tipitinas (French Quarter) with 'On the road to Charlie Parker', and just over one minute into the number the power goes out except emergeny lights and the mic monitor...without missing a beat he launches into a 10-minute riff a cappella until the power comes back on and he rolls right back into the electric version. Unreal!

  • Fucking amazing !!!!!

  • What powered his mic?

  • @TheJettiRae agree...he's not nearly as good as George Porter Jr. though...I saw these guys play a few weeks ago at Tips...it was both Carl and George playing...George absolutely dominated Carl...body language AND playing wise...George is the bad ass bassist in new orleans right now

  • a true musician

  • Perfect example of: "The show must go on!"... He is something else, and anyone who hasn't experienced him live... MUST! :)

  • Is this guy the shit, or what???

  • can't hear the piano/keyboard

  • amazing!

  • I love how the emergency power includes vocals at tips. This is a fantastic clip.

  • Anders is freakin badasssss
