add &fmt=18 to the end of the url to hear in stereo!! It will be in a higher quality and you will hear how I design and use sound effects and Audio-Units in the song

This is a one nighter song. I just wanted to pass the time. There is nothing on TV and not much to do with little money this week. Tonight was the first and last time I will work on this song.
I just wanted to put something together. It took an hour or so for the music and hour for the vocals, then another 45 min just listening and re adjusting tracks as needed. The usual that always needs adjusting is loudness of a particular instrument or vocals that are sticking out if the mix. For loudness I will turn down the volume or use dynamic proccer to even the sound in the intended track. There still are a few things that still could be adjusted. The other usual adjustment is over all tone. I find that I have to adjust the mid tones in Garageband in the master track - in order for it to be even, like professional songs. I then use the master track compressor, that tightens sound in all of the tracks together, evening out the over all volume.

The Video took an hour to make, costing me an hour of sleep I should be getting right now. My favorite parts are the back round vocals where I am harmonizing with my self. Sometimes also, it hits the spot to create something that I can just casually sing vocals to with out having to follow some specific format or think of cohesive lyrics. In nice just to create something and have fun with it. For it being composed in a matter of hours and serving the purpose of passing the time, exercising my voice and creativity, I think this is a great song. There really is no "Bridge", it just gets to the point.

I hope some of the tips I mentioned helps you on your next track. Feel free to ask any questions and you feedback is always valued.

The video is taken from television shows I bought on itunes for this very purpose! I also enjoy watching educational television regarding the stars, astronomy or space, ancient times of earth and thing of that sort. I love watching the computer graphic re-enactments of place we can never go like mars, deep space or back in time millions of years ago on earth when dinosaurs lived.

Maybe i could get a job creating the backround music for these TV shows.

Thanks for watching

  • This is great! i love the mood you've created and how you integrated the imagery with your music.

  • how do you get it the instruments to sound so clean, and blend together properly?

  • @321sebastian123 Its not how a computer is "good" it's how you use the computer which defines the difference between it and its competitors. But to answer your question Macs are more or less media, and work oriented. But then again most computers of this era are of that type in some way.

  • this might be a stupid question but whats so good about a mac whats defferant between a mac and differant laptops?

  • VERY nice!

  • That's pretty good, awesome vocals!

  • Cool sound and videoscapes.

  • this gives me ideas for a game :-/... if i ever finish the rest of the ideas on my list i might pm you about me making a game based off this song and vid :)

  • Thanks!
