I saw them at the Ft. Huachuca Teen club in '68. I just stood in front of Tim Burton all night LOL ;). They did a song "Time Machine" and he finger-tapped. The bass drum (electric set) said "The Nazz" but they came billed as "The Spiders". The singer (A/C) was skinny/scrawny and banged the cowbell which he hung on the mic stand with a bicycle break handle attached upside down. What a night.....
Garage band? These guys were the real deal - until they started recorded their originals. They were an awesome cover band. Then they became Alice Cooper and things changed a little. My band used to open for them in Tucson.
