took me a while to collect all the volumes (considering the size and price of them), but they're totally worthwhile. Much better than the anime (though I still like that too in its own terms).

I heard when the movie came out, the manga was only halfway serialized, hence why the outcomes are different. The psychic old woman actually makes a cameo in the movie, though as a completely different character; a fanatical monk among the obsessive Akira worshipers. I think she changed gender too...

wow, i really thought the movie was mind blowing, i saw it two times and i still don't really get it...

So i'm definitely going to get this manga, after i'm done with my current stack of comics ofc, xD

Also, the size of those books is quite spectacular
