Hasan Magnoon

'Hasan Magnoon' combines the classical sounds of India with the rhythmic traditions of the Middle East and beyond. Michael Griska performs string melody with Jacques Francschini providing percussion accompaniment.

Michael has rooted his studies in North Indian Classical Music, better know as Hindustani. The Sitar is his medium for the rendering of a Raga. A Raga is a development of emotions with a particular scale and a hiarcy of notes (Indian Classical Song).

Jacques has studied Middle Eastern, Balkan, Afro-Carribean and Modern hand percussion.
