  • Put 100 people in a room. Take a survey as to who was the best (tightest, most rocking) band to ever come out of L.A. 100 people would reply with robotic FM AOR breath, "Van Halen", "The Doors", "Guns N' Roses"... 100 people would be wrong. For those of us who know, Thanks, Doug.

  • I was a lucky guy to see them for last time at Foxwoods in CT about 3 yrs ago and now i feel totally sad about his departure

he ll always be in our rocker hearts R.I.P

  • a guy that just wanted to enjoy life

not the one the media might have demanded of him

    just being himself

  • Thought you sold real estate ?

  • @ATamandua Forgot to add, one of the lines in "Siamese twins (the monkey and me) was: "Wish my brother was no longer."

  • You Knack fans remember the song "Siamese twins (the monkey and me)"? ("Sisss on my back...s**** on my back...p*** on my back...") I get the feeling Doug wrote that about his older brother Geoffrey and that he couldn't WAIT to get out of Royal Oak, MI. In a long Detroit Free Press article on Geoffrey Fieger a few years back he admitted he made his brother Doug and sister's lives very difficult growing up...neither Doug Fieger nor his sister made themselves available for the reporter's story.

  • What a beautiful cat he was.

  • @Xirobebito You think the doors organist was 'just there for the ride'. He only composed the intro for 'Light My Fire' and the organ was always a unique aspect of the Doors sound.

  • THE Greatest band ever to me. Nobody was as electrifying as the Knack. And Doug was one of the best front men to ever grace the stage.

  • What a great person.. RIP Doug .. I could relate to your music as a kid .. I love your music as an adult .. !

  • .....idolize the guy. RIP Mr. Feiger

  • TOTOY TENGA, RONNIE JAMES DIO, MY FATHER, AND NOW ITS DOUG OF THE KNACK? ...WHY ARE MY HEROES DYING? ...ONE BY ONE?........IT SUCKS.
