"Most awesome"? How about, you know, Mr Rogers? The dude that basically created the modern kids show. He created the whole people on screen talking to the at home audience meme, for example. Sure, Sesame Street did it, but they came along AFTER Rogers went on air.

@bebebe8484 Actually, up until recently, it was common for adult men to participate in activities that would be seen as blatantly homosexual to modern men. Men commonly shared a bed at hotels, friends walked hand in hand on city streets. If you go look at pictures of men in Victorian England or even America for that matter, they look in some cases flammingly homosexual. Yet most had wives and families.

i never watched seseme street........i watched starwars
Why do people have to complicate things and make everything sexual? Why can't something be simple and innocent?
Bert and Ernie are characters on a little kids show. Two men can sleep in the same room and not be gay. (not that there's anything wrong with that) I always thought they were brothers or best friends- or even roomates.
Adults have to go out perverse childrens shows.

Sesame Street is more of an academically educational show, as in teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic. I don't think teaching "values" is the role of the show. Values vary across different worldviews and religions. If Sesame Street began teaching values of a specific worldview (i.e., postmodernism and sexual freedom), it would no longer be a simple educational show and would gain lots of opposition from opposing worldviews (e.g., Christian fundamentalism).
