Sometimes Sheldon is not very accurate either, like for example she wouldn't be sliced in "three equal pieces" because that is kinda impossible to be exactly equal.

Also I think superman would be smart enough to apply negative energy to the fall in order to reduce the impact but I don't remember the scene exactly so whatever.

Sheldon is correct. Superman is a living solar battery who gains greater power from brighter stars. Hence why the red sun provides him no power, as it did not on his home planet. (runs away afraid of being called a superhero nerd lol)
