how do you get your plucking tempo on the b &e string to remain constant when your playing the bass line with your thumb pick my pick and fingers think the same

@wildguitarman55 That's the beauty of the "boom-chick" method that Tommy Emmanuel uses. He does it naturally through lots of practice. I on the other hand, only memorised it.
If you want, I think the tabs I wrote may help a little. For now, the only way I know is through memory. Maybe after lots of memorising then it becomes natural. Hmm

I'm self-taught. My eldest brother introduced me to the guitar 14 years ago :)

so you have no idea how to read notes or play in different octaves off sheet music??

Nope. Don't know how to read notes or all the other weird symbols. Only know how to read tabs cause they're quite simple to understand. Tried learning before, but I just can't understand them :(
