cmx-3000 review

wanted to make a vid about the pioneer cmx-3000. fantastic peice of hardware, hightly recommended for someone just starting out on digital players on a budget. this will run you about 800 or so new, and in mint condition used, about 5-600.

Nice Video Nygel. But I can't understand why you would sell this player? I'm a DJ by myself and I own the CMX-3000 and DJM-3000 (packed in an SKB-Shuttle) and I take it with me on every gig I go to. I played virtually every Pioneer-Setup (DJM-500, 600 700 and 800 connected to either CDJ-100 (*puke*), 200, 400 (why is everyone so fancy about this fucker?), 800mk2 (nice gear, but WAY to expensive and 1000mk2, 3) and NOTHING has the handyness, the 3000-combo gives you at hand.

Chrischan74 - I sold it because I had to move, and was spending WAAYYY to much shipping everything (hawaii to the mainland). I wanted to pick up an additional 800, so selling it seemed like the right thing to do. So many memories, and a really good peice of gear

Does the cmx 3000 play mp3's on a cdr or cdrw? thanks

no, it cannot play mp3's, has to be a regularly burned cd

Nygel m8 the BPM sync only matches the BPM speed you still have to cue the incoming track and release it at the right time,BPM sync,not auto mix.

I know you probably already sold this, but I was wondering if this is a good piece for a starting DJ. I have a wedding gig set for June 2010 and have always used vinyl turntables (and the same mixer you had in the video). I have a rack mount mixer from Denon that is unbelievable for the price I paid, but I need a good dual CD deck. If not this one, what else would you recommend?
