Using an eye tracker it is possible to control a computer simply by looking at the screen.

  • I'm curious to know how far away a user can sit while using this system?

  • * Operating distance subject - camera 50 - 70 cm * Head tracking range 40 x 40 cm at 70 cm distance

  • this is awesome.... seriously, keep up the great work!

  • thanks adam, i'm getting some really good feeback on this, keep an eye open for future demos!

  • Yes nice but many people have already thought of this including myself (thought of this back in 2005) as for the selection on the screen think about how you going to do thati have another way far better than what you have now :P

  • Sounds cool Mr DesertR4ge. Do you have any form of demonstration/paper? Would like to discuss your ideas but your not giving me too much to go on here ;)

  • This is really interesting, it should be getting more attention. The only negative aspect I cans see is if you were to look away from the screen, or look at something by accident. Eyes do wander. Is there a gesture for selection, as in a frown or a blink? Or do you just focus on it?

Either way, it seems to me to be a big step forward in this area of technology. I hope it's used in many products in the future. Imagine an iPad with this?

  • Impressive! My mother has MS...Something like this would bring hope to her future, not only with the Computer, but has the potential of driving wheelchairs as well! Bravo!

  • I'm working on building an entirely new interaction system that miigght be able to use this.

  • WOoooww :D:D

  • very good work!, I'm trying to do something like that, but I'm not getting very good result...

any suggestion will be really appreciated!

    regards.
