wow. i noticed on some pictures back in the early ninetys dubai was so horrible (economically) and the US was thriving over them now they're thriving over us and my mouth just drops at the sight of the new amazing projects i hope that one day i can go visit the amazing wonders that it has. Its just so amazing! im dying to go over there especially to dubailand and to hydropolis!

@nworb Oh, you'd be stuck eating vegetarian food? What a fucking shame, you spoilt son of a motherfucking bitch. Of course, a proud American like you doesn't care about innocent animals getting tortured brutally, eh? Oh, well, at least you're never going to get a girlfriend and have a sad life. :-)

just seems like a big dream ! maybe not all of this could be reality ! but saying that ... Dubai was a shithole 10 years ago !!

does anyone know if this will ever get built to its full-scale original plans? if at all? cause from what I hear this stuff isn't going to get built... in our lifetime at least. Its a damn shame this place looks like it would be sick as hell!

It's 108 degrees there today. Mild compared to the usual temp for this time of year. Imagine going to an amusement park when it's 122 degrees out.

no matter how big Dubailand may become, it will never have that same magic feeling that Disneyland provides.

@Xenomorph237 The project is currently on-hold, but the companies developing it will endeavour to make sure it is completed. Currently open are the Dubai Autodrome, Al Sahra Desert Resort and Global Village, which has a fun fair containing about thirty rides and attractions.

@lolaxian Aaah good. I was afraid they were going to cancel Dubailand. Of cousre not all the project are going to be complete by 2011.

Six Flags Dubailand will shatter the record of 17 roller coasters, which is currenlty held by Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio

@sporeplayer100 i will doubt that. each coaster cost between 10 - 30 million depending on the size and with six flags just came out on file chapter 11 . I don't think they will invest in Dubai for the time being and the project is on hold that also goes for F1 X theme park, Legoland Dubai, universal and the marvel theme park which all on all hold for indefinite
