The Messiah "had to" show up as he had been recnetly criticized for NOT listening to the Ground Cammanders. He was in and out in a matter of less than 30 minutes. He then got back to his day job, electioneering for President.

What does that have to do with Obama and other Democrat's extreme insanity, public lying, and embarrasing hypocracy and contradiction with themselves, our commanders on the ground, and with Iraqi's themselves?

I don't think there is a way to stop Arab hatred of Israel short of self destruction. I am sure you have heard the Arab chant "Death to Israel, death to America". I think its part of their national anthem. If the palestinians are willing to blow up Israeli children at a school, and elect a terrorist organization to run their country, I don't think they are looking for friendship. Israel turned over the Gaza strip to the Palestinians which they now use to launch rockets into Israel.

my point is slow progress is what we've been hearing for 6 years, well actually 5, the first year we were hearing that we were loved, welcomed with flowers etc.........what's going to happen in iraq is going to happen........the people there hate each other, there's a long history to that and that's not gonna change if we stay there an extra year or 2.......there is no military solution.

if you define a "great job with terrorism" as "hey we're still alive as a nation and we're periodically still killing you as a terrorist" then you're right, ISrael has done a good job...........but my standards of dealing with terrorism is 1)keeping your people safe and 2) finding a way to stop people's hatreds towards you...israel has only done one of the 2

answerty911, I enjoy a respectful discussion with someone who is willing to question their beliefs. My goal is to be open to new ways of looking at world events. The "Bush is an idiot" crowd evades the issues by name calling. I don't see you doing that and appreciate it.

So you think 911 happenned because we were mean to terrorists? You probably believe in Santa Claus. The Kuran calls for the establishment of a califate with Shariah law. That means that if you are one of the infidels, you either convert or they will kill you. Just look at how many were killed over Danish cartoons. We do differenciate with the bad guys to the point that Sunnis are siding with us vs. Al queda.

We are making slow progress but you would never know it from listening to the media.

Israel has done a great job with terrorism. For a country surrounded by enemies that want it destroyed, it has survived since 1948

They have not stopped every terrorist attack. Perfection is an illusion of intellectuals sucha as college professors and in the movies. The war with Lebanon was not a defeat for Israel. It was poorly fought and they encountered surprising resistance. Again the terrorists hid behind innocent civilians to garner world sympathy.
