First run with just a downpipe, hence the tractor-ness.
Reminds me of a spitfire or some old unsilenced plane, so raw and LOUD!

  • @ChrisHenniker Yup, so simple its unreal :P One thing is though. If you want the renault range of engines, i.e the f7p/r, renault 5 turbo lump, 440 turbo lump etc, you need a 340 as it uses a prop shaft. If you want to use the volvo engines, like the 740/940 turbo engines, then you have to use a 360 with its torque tube. You cant mount an f7p into a 360 a bolt it straight up to a 360 torque tube. It requires a few mods, which is what im looking into for my one :D

  • @EvoToad That simple, eh? I'd love to stick one of these, torque tube and transaxle in a Ford Pop or a kit car. I've always thought it could also be the basis for a small sports car in the vein of the Nissan Figaro or a cute little Frogeye Sprite.

  • @ChrisHenniker Look up the volvo340 f7p conversion :) Uses the sump from a volvo 1.7 and a mount already on the block to mount the front, and the rear mounts are on the 1.7 bell housing :) It all bolts straight in.

  • How did you turn this engine around for RWD? I'd love to see one of these in a hot rod.
