Thanks for posting - so far, I think this is the best filmed version of the play I have sign. True Joan Plowright cannot equal Dame Edith Evans especially in her delivery of 'A HANDBAG?' but the other characters are acted in a much livelier but at the same time authentic manner than in 1952 version (rather staid and dull; too reverential) or the 2002 version (pretty frivolous and strays too much from the spirit of the play).
