Wow the z06 is a horrible fucking driver. Stock, without mods run better than this. He needs to sell his car to a person who can actually drive. There's no way in hell a full bolt on, cai, tuned z06 should be anywhere close to losing to a mid 12 second mustang, when it can pull high 11s with only cai and drag radial tires.

Now, I'm not saying they're not CAPABLE, but is there any reason then that C5 Z06 owners are claiming high 11's, while C6 Z06 owners are RUNNING high 11's with 100 more hp?? And if it is "common knowledge" then the C5 Z is obviously stiff competition for the C6 Z, fair enough? Either way I'm beating them both, but besides the point.

You are literally retarded. Spray is spray, whether the car is modded otherwise, or not.. My car is a built street car, and has been 10.2's@134.7 on spray. However, a few of my friends have basically stock Mustangs, and spray them too. They're every bit as fun as mine, and it's not hurting anything, because they know how to use nitrous. It's uneducated morons like you that spread false knowledge, disrespect, and hate among the entire car community. Learn something.

Records for a bolt on C5z- 10.89@124mph. For a C6 Z- 10.13 @ 135 Both set by the same fella and both vids are probably on here. And last but not least, the current bolt on record for a C5 base coupe (non z06) 11.28 @ 119.55 set by me. Should be 11.0 this fall

I am a mustang fan but fact is fact bolt on mustangs can make about 290hp-325hp and a 100 shot your really only lookin at 400hp which is about what a C5 zo6 has stock you add headers, cat-back , cold air , xpipe , and a turn your lookin at another 40 to 70hp more so a 400hp mustang vs a roughly 475hp-500hp zo6. Fact is its an easy 11 sec zo6 with bad driver got beat by a 12 sec mustang with a decent driver. but zo6 should win

@apachewraith It's all driver dependent, obviously, but nearly every review of the (405 HP) C5Z clocked the quarter in 12.1-12.5, with a good deal of them (and the more reputable ones at that) placing them in the low low 12's. I'm not arguing that your car isn't fast (it is- I haven't been able to afford a "fast" car since high school when I picked on Civics in my modded low 14's Beretta GTZ (not really that fast, but hey)), I'm just saying that the C5Z is capable, stock, of going faster.
