energy, that's where that part comes in) creating the universe? Seriously, a non-sentient ball of energy making things that are so complex we can't even understand some of the aspects. THAT'S what that was all about, your religion (I'm assuming from your points and the side your taking that your an atheist here, correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways, bigfoot and a pink elephant have no correlation to what we are talking about here, this is a serious matter and I'd prefer you keep it that way.)
Ok, first, what you say about people being "compelled" to the virtues I listed is where the problem lies. People simply aren't normally rational, and they aren't born with them. They need some motivation to do something that is against their nature (such as being kind to someone who is being rude to you or making an effort to help a family member with a job). People just don't do that normally. And I believe that yes, it DOES take more faith to believe in your religion. An explosion (ball of...
Unless of course you actually read the Bible, in which you find out that there are a great many "divine" explanations of man-made observation (the earth ~ universe) that are not only wrong, but completely devoid of scientific merit. But of course, to know that, one would have to actually read it...
Of course... its much easier for a christian to rationalize and make excuses for the Bible saying "its a book of law" so that we can simply dismiss its errant scientific claims.
I love this piece of film! I distinctly remember seeing it at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum as a kid. Just one thing...it's Soldier Field; NOT SoldierS Field. Very cool!!
Nothing wrong with the Bible, but one should remember it is a book of law, not science. Creationism does not work as science because it puts the conclusion (god) before the observation (the universe).
First of all, it takes more faith to believe in atheism then it does in my religion. You have to believe in a ball of energy (non-sentient, made in this universe so it must have had some origin, and then macro-evolution). I'm not taking the easy way out however, you are. From the standpoint of what my religion entails, I have to do more then you. Morality, logic, and protecting ourselves and others as well as witnessing are things you aren't compelled to do by your beliefs. I am by mine. And....
...also, just for the record, a religion is only fallible if it IS created by man, and has nothing to do with a real God. You should actually research a topic before you discuss it and start to insult the people who are on the opposing side of an argument. People like you turn what could have been a nice, logical, topical discussion into a hate-fest where people simply attempt to slam each other and or the opposing sides views. It is not enjoyable, and no-one usually learns much. It's just sad.

Why are all religion deniers so angry ? Such a small and tight comfort zone ? I think so.
