I felt I answered your question re: children, in the context of them obeying myself. They are to obey me at all times just as they are to obey the constitution in adulthood, although once reaching adulthood a parent no longer has legal control of the child.

I agree absolute should be the day re: the law because we are a nation of laws.

On the other hand the founding fathers

declared it is "we the people" who make those laws and have the ability to amend them.
