I have never seen The MCa Home Video Logo on a 1995 reprint of Vertigo. Most MCA/Universal Home Video reprints have The MCA/Universal Home Video Logo while they have the MCA Home Video labels with the Blue outline saying MCA/Universal Home Video.

This is the MCA Home Video logo, not MCA/Universal Home Video.

Apathy is the most likely reason. Lack of dedication coupled with ignorance create persistent contradictions and irregularities.
