Most everyone I met overseas were good folk. I did fly with a pilot that let me take pictures. Didn't mention names and put in little detail. With all the pilots in Afghanistan, I believe the job is safe.

Controlled rest sounds reasonable--he was a nice guy--a good pilot--he circled a ravine a few times for me so I could take pictures. Not sure what the FAA thinks of this--I'm kinda hungry now--a ham sandwich sounds good--put a little mustard on it though. Never was scared--I could have thrown something at him from where I was sitting and woke him up. I just found it funny--didn't expect to see pilot or co-pilot sleep.
