  • the camera man in of this video is a douche bag... They have such an excellent cut away of this vehicle but the only time you get to see it is when the speaker makes a points out something then camera man pans to area for a moment the right back to the speaker.

  • I have a v8 G.C. Its pretty zippy on the road and has great handling off-road too.

  • @hateutubepolicy yes yes, i wish i had a v8. If they made a jeep srt8 offroad version that would be sick too!

  • @drippinblood28 If i had a choice i would always go for v8, it cost only 3$ more per 100 km to fill it up but its much more fun

  • @hateutubepolicy Even the first jeep grand cherokee back in '94 could potentially have all of those so you can't even call it luxury. I consider those basic things to be standard like in the 2011 model. I don't think the previous jeeps were luxury but they were nice and I actually liked the plushness of seats and leather in 99-04 jeeps better. The 2005 hemi 4x4 is nice too though.

  • @drippinblood28 If you compare it to basic versions of 4x4 it had some things you could call luxury [ its not an x5 :) ]. heated seats, mirrors, auto dimm mirrors, automatic headlights, rain sensitive wipers etc (all the stull expensive cars have). however , leather and interior plastics were not great quality. They improved it in 2011 models

  • @drippinblood28 i pretty much agree, but i hate the dash and interior of the 2005-2010 jeeps. It looks ugly to me. The 2011 is very nice though!

  • @drippinblood28 I owned 1999 laredo , and didnt like it as much. 1999-2004 had a softer suspension had no traction control and were not so stable if you drive fast, but i guess they did little better offroad.

I know a guy that lifted 4" his 06 limited ( qdII) and there was no place that he coudnt go. They use to go in groups of 10 jeeps ( 1994 -2006 jeeps ) and he did well offroad. In 05 i liked dash design much more that previous generation.

  • @hateutubepolicy The 2005-2010 version have no luxury so you can't say you ever had a mix of luxury and terrain. The older jeeps did better offroad and were even better in the interior too if compared to other cars at the same time. The v8 h.o. pulled a 0-60 in 6.5 seconds which is shitt fast for a jeep and did better offroad and got decent enough mileage. The 2005 hemi was ok back then, but its too outdated now and the 3.6 v6 in the 2011 jeep isn't powerful enough to compensate for the weight!

  • @drippinblood28

Thats because you didnt drive one , or didnt drive it long enough. I had 05 limited with quadra drive II and it handles on roads much better than older ones.

Its not a pure offroad car but i took it to some bad terrains and it did well. For me its the best mix of luxury and terrain truck.
