Are the "weather fx" for HGL DX10 only?
just saw a guy playing it on Vista and he had snow.... I haven't seen any snow yet...

"advanced weather effects"
WTF is he talking about? I've been playing HGL for a week now, and am in the 3rd HUB, and I haven't see "SHIT" for "weather"...
tha fuck.....
Do they not realize we're gonna play these overhyped games and find out they're bold face liars in the end?....

because better pc's run games faster at smootherframe rates, and you are able to crank the graphics up to realise the true graphics of todays games, thats why we give a shit
-
i have it too!!!! i love this case it's very big :)
-
how about developing interesting and immersive scenarios for your annoying games, instead of putting tens of thousand of particles, ya uninspired twat... :-l

Krevok, your first comment isn't entirely true due to the law of diminishing returns. But yeah overall a Quad will beat a similarly clocked dual any day
-
If you run something like cinebench it show it scales at about 3.6X from 1 core to 4 cores so that isnt that bad imo, but cinebench isnt a game so its really down game coders to utalize all cores available
-
i have that case!!!!!!!!!!!
actually yes it does, but only when games are made to utilize both cores. the same goes with any programs, each core is basically its own processor, when programs are made to utilize both cores equally, then you get 2x the performance. that's why quadcores arent recommended over dual cores yet, due to games being made for dual cores.

the 8800 is too expensive for me, i have a modest 8600 gt that will run almost everything.
