@fanofdiesel Yup! Lack of transmission noise also subtracts huge amounts from realism. After racing in GTR2 for PC I started noticing more that it is not so much about just the engine or exhaust notes but everything else going on too.

@Artuir82 You know the sound of the Ford GT when it is equipped with the racing exhaust? That is the sound they should have used, not that made up crap.

@fanofdiesel - the GT series (including 5) has always had horrendous sound. Pretty graphics but sound immersion is totally gone. It is a huge tragedy because the game would be so much better if they could get that facet right.
